Presentation Marking Guidelines
Please assign a mark between 1 and 5 for each of the following aspects of the presentation using the guidelines below. Do not mark your own presentation.
Your presentation will be assigned the median of the marks assigned by your peers unless the instructor believes the result is clearly inaccurate.
Clarity
I understood:
- 5: Every. Word.
- 3: Maybe half of it?
- 1: Almost nothing.
Purpose
- 5: I can't wait to try it out!
- 3: OK... but why would I want to use it?
- 1: I'm confused. I don't understand what it does or why I'd want to use it.
Examples
- 5: Hey, I could do that!
3: I followed the general idea.
1: I didn't understand what was going on.
Answers
- 5: I understood the answer to a reasonable question.
- 3: I could tell something went wrong (they clearly misunderstood the question, I didn't understand the answer, the answer was obviously wrong, ...).
- 1: They obviously didn't understand the material they were presenting.
Timing
- 5: They finished in time.
- 3: It was a bit long but they finished.
- 1: They were cut off and didn't finish.
